And finally, in 2020, in Boone, Iowa, someone reported seeing another giant bird, claiming, “When it flapped its huge wings, all I could see was light, dark, light dark. And it was a huge whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, that I heard.” 

Whether these creatures are truly monsters or simply misidentified birds is up for debate. But one thing is for sure: there have been some very strange sightings in the Van Meter area over the years!
